Bill Kelly is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. He has released five albums and earned numerous sideman credits while developing a distinctive voice that blends venturesome storytelling with echoes of John Prine, Squeeze, and Lyle Lovett. His distinctive, emotionally honest singing has drawn comparisons to Tom Petty and Townes Van Zandt. Larry Campbell captured it perfectly: “Bill Kelly has the voice and pen of a true artist with a great sense of melody.”

A dedicated yogi, he studied and worked with pioneers Magaña and Walt Baptiste from 1978 to 1985 and later hosted the groundbreaking Radio Free Yoga on WNTI in the mid-’90s.

Kelly’s music has appeared in films by Ken Russell, Gus Van Sant, and Morgan Spurlock. He has performed with San Francisco’s National Theater of the Deranged, the Baptiste Belly Dance Troupe, Folkfoot, Brother Flower, as Graham Nash in a CSN tribute show, and his own Bill Kelly and the House of Cards.
